A new method of non-destructive testing of the thermal fit strength of the inner rings of roller bearings on the neck of wheelset axles has been developed, the novelty and usefulness of which is protected by patents of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation BY 7271 C1, BY 7606 C1, BY 7377 C1, BY 1587 U, BY 1656 U, BY 2431 U, RU 2228830 C2, RU 2279647 C2.

The technical result is achieved by implementing direct control of the coupling strength by the level of the stress-strain state of a sensitive cylindrical elastic element with strain gages placed on its surface.
