The department: "Management of operational work"
Founders of the school: Advanced Doctor in Engineering Sciences, Full Professor Tikhomirov Ivan Georgievich, Academician of the AT of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, Advanced Doctor in Engineering Sciences, Full Professor Gruntov Petr Stepanovich.
Ther are 3 Ph.D.s of Engineering Sciences participate in scientific research; at present, 4 postgraduates and 16 undergraduates study in postgraduate and graduate programs.
The results of scientific research were used in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Railways (typical technological processes), during the reconstruction of the sorting stations of the Belarusian, Moscow, Donetsk, North Caucasus and other railways, in the design and survey institutes Kievgiprotrans, Mosgiprotrans, Dneprohyprotrans and others. The results of scientific research on the development of road automated control centers were reported at the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Railways (twice), at the technical councils of the Donetsk and Belarusian Railways, at the boards of the Ministry of Railways. Based on the results of work, for the first time in the USSR, automated dispatch control centers were created in Donetsk, Minsk (ADC) and the main ADC in Moscow. Now more modern systems work on all roads of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and other countries. Currently, the main objects of implementation of the results are the Belarusian Railway and the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Over 200 articles have been published in foreign publications, including in the magazines «Железнодорожный транспорта», «Вестник ВНИИЖТа», «Мир транспорта», «Вестник ДИ-ИТа», «Автоматика, телемеханика и связь», etc. There are publications in editions Russian , Ukraine, Lithuania, Bulgaria, etc.

The head of school:
Full Professor, Advanced Doctor in Engineering Sciences, Head of the Research Laboratory "Transport Communications"
The school consists of 15 people, of them 2 Advanced Doctors, 4 Ph.Ds, 4 Postgraduates; including 5 young scientists.
During the first period, General schemes for the development of all the main nodes of the Belarusian Railway, as well as a number of Russian Railways, were developed.
The State Transport Development Program of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Railway Development Program until 2010, the Comprehensive Forecast of Scientific and Technological Progress on the Belarusian Railway until 2020, the Energy Strategy of the Belarusian Railway until 2020 has been developed by under the leadership of Negrey V.Ya. and with his direct participation (agreement No. НТП/Ю -1775/5255).
The methodology for calculating the number of tracks in the parks of marshalling yards and precinct stations was introduced by order No. 364 NL of the Belarusian Railways dated 02.06.2006. Methodological recommendations for optimizing speeds were used for develop a standard train schedule (act of implementation No. 15-03-20/08 of 09.09 .2006, order No. 185Н of 05.22.2006), The standard technical passport of a railway station and instructions for its preparation were approved by order No. 89Н of 02.20.2007, (implementation act No. 15-03-20/02 of 05.21.2007). Large-scale plans of the railway stations of Vitebsk (act of implementation No. 15-03-19 / 08 of October 24, 2008, Order No. 59/У of October 21, 2008 “On the implementation of the large-scale plan”) and Polotsk (act of implementation No. 15-03 -19/07 dated 10/09/2008, Ordinance No. 5 of 06/20/2008 “On the implementation of a large-scale plan”) are used as applications to the TAA of these stations. Recommendations on bringing the designs of the sorting hills of the stations Orsha-Tsentralnaya, Volkovysk, Lida and Luninets to regulatory requirements and optimizing their parameters are used for a feasibility study for the reconstruction of the investigated sorting complexes (acts of implementation No. 15-03-19 / 06 of 09.10.2008 , No. 15-03-21 / 02 of 07.24.2009). The main provisions of the feasibility study for the development of the Baranovichi-Tsentralny station were included in the design decisions for the reconstruction of this station in order to increase its throughput and processing capacity, developed by DSRUE Belzheldorprojekt and НОД-2 (act of implementation No. 15-03-21/01 of July 16, 2009.). Methodical recommendations for calculating the throughput and processing capacity of railway structures and devices in two parts have been developed and implemented (order No. 1043 of the National Law of 03.09.2009, the act of implementation No. 15-03-21/07 of September 25, 2009). In 2010-2013 justification of the parameters of the sorting slide of the Krichev station for use in the project for the development of this station developed by the OJSC Minsk PROMTRANSPROEKT was carried out. In 2011 - 2012 research work was carried out to examine the designs of the sorting hills of the Belarusian Railway and to develop proposals for improving their parameters (topic No. 7345 of 08/01/2011). The results of the study were included in the Program for the development of sorting complexes of stations (including 20 stations) of the Belarusian Railway until 2020, and the deadlines were determined by the Order of the Head of the Belarusian Railway dated 04.04.12 No. 15-03-62 / 11685. A survey of the design and technical equipment of the sorting slide of the Zhlobin station was completed with optimization of its parameters (topic No. 3090/7266 of 07/01/2011) and the sorting slide of the Zhlobin park of Vitebsk station to develop proposals for improving its parameters (topic No. 554/7220 of 01.06. 2011). A technical examination of the schematic plan of Akhalkalaki station (Georgia) was carried out for the second stage of design for the processing of 5 million tons of cargo/year (topic No. 7358 of 07/13/2011). In 2013, a feasibility study was developed for the development of the Molodechno railway junction (topic No. Д/Ю 7845) by order of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Belarus.
Representatives of the school under the leadership of Pravdin N.P. defended 13 candidate dissertations and one doctoral thesis (in 2004 by A.K. Golovnich).
The three candidate dissertations was defended under the leadership of Negrey V.Ya.: in 2003, by Pozhidaev S.A. on the topic “Automation of the design of the vertical layout of transport communications”, by E. Maslovskaya on the topic "Justification of the upper limits of the parameters of high-speed highways", in 2004 by Zenchuk N.F. on the topic "Resource-saving technologies in train work on sections of the railway."
