We are in China!

The first working week of our teachers, who were sent to China to teach students of the Guangzhou Railway Vocational Technical College the specialties "Management of operational work in railway transport" and "Electricity supply of railways" within the framework of existing Agreements on joint educational programs between BSUT and the College, is coming to an end.
On the very first day of arrival, the colleagues met with the Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation, with whom they once again agreed on the schedule of their classes and adjusted it taking into account the employment of students. Due to the large volume of the academic load, designed for three weeks, the schedule turned out to be tight for our teachers (3-4 lectures per day), and even more so for students who have retained their compulsory courses. We give them lectures on both special disciplines and elective courses, the subject of which allows us to tell Chinese students about our country, our city, culture and history – helps them to better understand us and make them want to come and see everything with their own eyes.
In between lectures, we manage to hold talks on problems and prospects of cooperation, and take part in honoring first-year students, and informally communicate with students, conducting career guidance among them aimed at attracting them to our university.
We have two more lecture–filled weeks ahead of us, during which we will try not only to give Chinese students knowledge, but also to make them want to continue their education in their chosen specialty - and do it at our university.
