Collaboration with Chinese colleagues

For nearly two months, professor Zhongsheng Wang from Xi'an Technological University (XATU) was a guest at our university. As a specialist in the research of advanced network and sensors, especially in Internet of Things, he shared his knowledge with students and undergraduates of various specialties whose competencies include the area of professor’s interest.

For students who, as part of their specialties, do not study computer technology as thoroughly as Professor Wang suggested, presentations were made telling about current trends in the development of the China generally and in XATU particularly. Professor Wang is the main researcher of the State and provincial Joint Engineering Laboratory of Advanced Network and Monitoring Control, so he spoke in detail and interestingly about his university, as well as about the scientific fields that are actively developing in China today.

So, for example, on October 17 and 18, 2018, the professor delivered lectures for third-year students of the faculty of the Transportation Management Faculty (teacher - associate professor Kravchenya I.N.). Each lecture was attended by students who were interested not only in learning something new, but also in communicating with a representative of another country and practice speaking spoken English taking into account the peculiarities of its pronunciation.

Professor Wang is the administrator of «International Journal of Advanced Network, Monitoring and Controls» (ISSN: 2470-8038) and invites teachers and staff of our university to publish their research results on the pages of the Journal. The professor transferred several copies of the Journal to the fund of the BelSUT Scientific and Technical Library, as well as to the department “Information Management Systems and Technologies”.

We hope that this is not the last visit of a foreign professor as a guest lecturer, and the tendency of development of academic mobility of teachers and students will receive a positive trend, which will have a beneficial effect on the ranking of our university.
