From November 26 to December 1, 2018 - it was a week of learning English at the department "Slavic and Romano-Germanic languages." The purpose of this event was to attract students' attention to the study of foreign languages and to show the possibilities and prospects of social and cultural communication.

A number of events were held both inside and outside the university: a poster contest, quizzes, a presentation contest, field meetings with representatives of the US Embassy in Belarus and competitions where participants could demonstrate their knowledge and level of foreign language skills.

Being a business card of a certain kind in the professional week, on November 27, 2018, within the week of the English language, an internal university competition for the best knowledge of the English language was held. The first place was shared by a student Zyblev A.S. and Stepchenko V.P. The second place was taken by Yushchuk D.V. The third place - a student Drinevskaya A.V.

The award ceremony took place on December 3, 2018 at the closing of the event. Dean of the Foreign Students Faculty Vlasyuk T.A. handed the winners diplomas and gifts.

First place’s students will take part in the inter-university Olympiad to be held in February 2019.
