BSUT at the open day of the Stadler Minsk Сompany

The Stadler Minsk Company held an open day in honour of its 5th anniversary at the plant in Fanipol on June 8, 2019.
The department "Management of operational work and labour protection" and the research laboratory "Management of the transportation process" have been actively cooperating with the passenger service of the Belarusian Railway on various topics of research and development for many years. Therefore, representatives of our university did not stand aside and attended the event with professional interest.
Director of the Stadler Minsk Company, Philip Brunner, welcomed the participants of the open day. He gave a brief insight into the history of the construction of the plant, spoke about the current state of affairs and prospects for the development of the company. Then everyone could ask Philip questions of interest and get comprehensive answers, as well as take a joint photo as a souvenir.
Employees of the company showed all stages of production of trains, trams and subway cars: from an aluminium billet to a finished product. In the literal sense of the word, doors were opened to all divisions of the plant: visitors to the machining and welding shop, painting booths, an assembly shop, a train and tram launch shop, and others.
The exposition of the rolling stock was presented at the exhibition site in the open. FLIRT electric trains, KISS double-deck electric trains for Azerbaijan, cars for the Minsk metro, Metelitsa trams for Bolivia and others stood on the tracks.
All visitors could freely move around the cars, sit in the driver’s cab and feel the comfort and convenience of the carriages of various classes.
Find entertainment at the open door could both adults and children. Visitors to the event could try on a protective welder or painter’s ammunition. An unusual show of welding robots, which performed drawings on sheets of paper, was held in the welding shop. Throughout the day, open doors were held draws of gifts, contests and interactive with the guests. Your feedback could be left on the wall of wishes.
The event was very organized, interesting and informative and did not leave indifferent either representatives of our university or other visitors of the open day.
