Participation in the meeting of the Working Committee for the Coordination of the Scientific and Educational Consortium Activities

From 20 to 22 June 2019 in the city of Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) a meeting of the Working Commission for the coordination of the activities of the Scientific and Educational Consortium was held. The Vice-Rector for Research of the Belarusian State University of Transport A.A. Erofeev took an active part in this meeting.
Historically, the unification of the Kazakh-Belarusian scientific and educational potential within the framework of the Consortium was carried out at the initiative of the Heads of Kazakhstan and Belarus and is of great strategic importance, providing withstanding the global challenges of today, improving the quality of human capital. The activities of the Consortium are regulated by the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus on Socio-Economic Cooperation until 2026 and, following from it, the Program between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus on Social and Economic Cooperation until 2026 and the Road Map. Thus, the activities of the Consortium are coordinated and controlled at the Government level.
The consortium members from the Belarusian side are 24 universities, and from Kazakhstan - 22.
During the negotiations on cooperation with the members of the Consortium - heads of transport departments, representatives of international transport organizations, scientific institutions, educational institutions, three agreements were signed:
- MEMORANDUM of mutual understanding with the L.N. Eurasian National University Gumilyov;
- MEMORANDUM of mutual understanding with S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University;
- Agreement on cooperation with Kostanay State University named after Ahmet Baitursynov.
It was agreed to develop the following activities in the framework of international university cooperation:
- exchange of educational and scientific materials, publications and academic information;
- exchange of teachers and researchers;
- student exchange;
- joint research and organization of joint activities in the field of education and science;
- interaction in the preparation of graduate and doctoral students (PhD);
- joint implementation of research projects and projects in the field of education.
