Today, on November 17, 2020, the meeting of the Council for education and science of the Coordinating Transport Meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CTM CIS) was held on the basis of the online platform of Transport week 2020, which is traditionally held in Moscow.

The meeting was traditionally moderated by Boris Levin, President of the Russian University of transport and Chairman of the Council. He made a welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting and noted the specifics and format of its holding in 2020. This is characterized by the fact that representatives of transport education and science can easily cope with any challenges of the time.

In his speech, B. A. Levin spoke about the significant amount of work that RUT has performed in the year that has passed since the University was recognized as the basic organization of the CTM CIS for transport education.

Conceptual aspects of the development of transport education until 2035 were discussed in the report of Alexander Klimov, rector of RUT.

The rector of our University, Yuri kulazhenko, acted as the next speaker. The topic of the report was "Integration function and aspects of cooperation between universities and scientific organizations of the CIS countries".

After Yuri Ivanovich's speech, Levin B. A. was pleased to note that without preliminary coordination of the report's topics, the tasks of development of transport education and science, as well as integration of universities and research centers in the CIS, which need to be solved in the near future, are almost identical. This is the key to successfully solving issues related to the unification of training in transport specialties and disciplines.

During the meeting of the Council for education and science of the CTM CIS, speakers from our partner universities: S. N. Amirgalieva, rector of the Kazakh Academy of transport and communications. Tynyshpaeva, Andronchev I. K., rector of Samara state University of Railways, Anashkina N. Yu., Vice-rector for international relations of the Ural state University of Railways, Garlitsky E. I., Vice-rector of the far Eastern state University of Railways, Kutsenko S. M. and Livshits A.V., Vice-rectors of Irkutsk state University of Railways, representatives of beldornia, Tashkent state transport University, Siberian state University of Railways.

At the end of the meeting of the Council for education and science under the CTM CIS, a discussion was held on the issues considered and a draft final resolution was developed, which included specific proposals from the speakers. It is safe to say that the decision made by the Council at the CIS transport Coordination meeting will help expand the functionality of universities and research Centers in the further integration of national economies and transport systems of the CIS member countries.
