"Accounting and Audit" Contest

Accounting and audit perform an information function in the enterprise management system.
They are often called the language of business. And, indeed, they are. The information contained in the financial statements and in the auditor's report is useful to owners, shareholders, investors and business partners to assess the financial condition of the counterparty, to identify possible risks for the invested capital. It is also needed by specialists who manage both financial flows and the process of the organization's assets circulation: logisticians, sales managers, economists, financiers, accountants, business analysts, etc.
The "Accounting systems and business management technologies" department conducts with students of engineering and economic specialties a whole range of training activities for their systematic mastery of methods and technologies for collecting, processing, systematizing and analyzing accounting information, as well as developing skills for making management decisions based on the information received. For actualizing the importance of accounting and audit among future specialists in the context of logistics and popularizing it among students, on November 17, 2020, the Contest was held for students of the "Transport Logistics" specialty (Faculty of Transportation Management).
The Contest in accounting and auditing was attended by 18 students of the UL-31 group and 17 students of the IUL-31 group. Students were offered creative tasks on the basics of accounting: determine the composition of assets and liabilities, indicate active and passive accounts, reveal the basic techniques and methods of accounting, as well as solve the accounting crossword puzzle of professional accounting terms, based on the knowledge gained in the learning process. Most of the students successfully completed the tasks proposed for the Contest.
Competitive tasks aroused particular interest among the students: "Accounting Kaleidoscope", "Accounting Techniques" and "Accounting Crossword".

The winners of the Contest were awarded with diplomas and collections of scientific papers on accounting, analysis, audit and logistics.
The "Accounting systems and business management technologies" department CONGRATULATIONS the winners and all participants of the Contest in accounting and auditing! We hope that the acquired knowledge and professional skills of collecting and systematizing accounting information will be successfully applied by graduates in management activities in the Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan.
