International cooperation has always been an essential attribute of the development of both states in general and individual enterprises in particular.
It is impossible to carry out international activities in single direction, because this process is always complex and affects entire layers of public life and industries.
An important step in expanding the interaction of world markets is the creation of the "One belt, one road" initiative, which was actively supported by our country. Within the context of this initiative, cooperation between organizations from different countries has reached a new level.
The Belarusian State University of Transport (BSUT) is also working hard to increase the export of its services in the international arena. It expands the areas of interaction with Chinese scientific and educational organizations. Therefore, BSUT is interested in further developing friendly relations with Chinese partners through inter-university communication and exchange of scientific experience. In order to deepen scientific cooperation in the field of high-speed railway technologies and related services, meet the needs of relevant domestic industries for exporting services, and improve the efficiency of export certification of equipment, BSUT, and Guangzhou Railway Polytechnic, and Guangdong Union for scientific and technical cooperation with the CIS countries, and CRRC Qiqihar Vehicles Co., Ltd have agreed to conclude the Agreement to establish a testing centre for imported railway equipment in the CIS countries.
The signing of this agreement was made possible thanks to the assistance and support of the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Guangzhou (China) Andrei Popov.
During the annual conference of the Union of professional education "One belt, one road" in Guangzhou on December 4, 2020, an Agreement was signed between the Belarusian State University of Transport, and Guangzhou Railway Polytechnic, and Guangdong Union for scientific and technical cooperation with the CIS countries, and CRRC Qiqihar Vehicles Co., Ltd about creation of the centre for testing of the imported equipment of railway transport in the CIS countries. On behalf of the Belarusian side, the Agreement was signed by the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Guangzhou A. A. Popov.
Despite the fact that the centre will be located on the territory of China, the foundation of its future activities is laid on the principles of the test centre and the certification body of the Belarusian State University of Transport.
Rector of BSUT Yuri Kulazhenko addressed the Chinese partners via video link, congratulated them on the significant event, expressed confidence in the future successful implementation of the joint project, and also thanked all those involved for their desire to cooperate with the Belarusian State University of Transport.
CRRC Qiqihar Vehicle Co. Ltd., one of the project partners, is the largest manufacturer of railway products, so the future Belarusian-Chinese testing centre has excellent prospects, and new horizons are opening up for the BSUT’s development.
