Holiday of Peace and Friendship


The festival is not only a celebration of people's culture and traditions, it is also a spectacular forum that allows you to express your attitude to historical events in bright, emotional colors that emphasize and affirm the continuity of generations and the desire for peace on the planet.

It was in this vein that on April 23, the III Republican Festival of Military-patriotic Songs among students-citizens of foreign countries, dedicated to the Victory Day and the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, was held at our university in a face-to-face format. The event was organized by the Faculty of Education of Foreign Citizens, teachers of the Department of Slavic and Romano-Germanic Languages, the Military Transport Faculty, a student club with the participation of the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus" and 9 higher educational institutions of our country.

The festival was opened by the first vice-rector of the University, Ph.D., associate professor Yu. G. Samodum. He congratulated those present on the upcoming Victory Day holiday, which is celebrated annually on May 9 by all the progressive humanity of the planet. Y. G. Samodum stressed the importance of this event, designed to introduce young people to wonderful song and literary works created during the Great Patriotic War and in peacetime, which vividly, expressively and without falsehood reflect the feat of our people, who defended the freedom and independence of the Motherland, saved the world from Nazism. He also noted that the feat of soldiers will never fade and the poems and songs of that time remain with us forever.

The festival brought together many genres and directions of student creativity performed by amateur artists from different countries of the world who study at universities of the Republic of Belarus, among them the Belarusian State Medical University, Gomel State University. Franziska Skaryna, Gomel Technical University named after P. O. Sukhoi, University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Gomel Branch, Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after Ivan Shamyakin, Mogilev State University named after A. A. Kuleshova, Grodno State University named after Ya. Kupala, Belarusian State University of Trade and Economics of Consumer Cooperation.

In the rich program of the festival, foreign students from Kazakhstan, China, Cameroon, Congo, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and other countries presented wartime songs by Soviet composers, literary, artistic and dance numbers. Each participant was able to demonstrate the facets of his talent, as well as reveal the rich heritage and identity of the folk culture of his people through creative performances. The festive concert featured the most famous and favorite songs about the war. This is "Katyusha" performed by cadets of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Gomel branch Argynbayev A. and S. Zhukenov (Republic of Kazakhstan) in the Kazakh language under the musical accompaniment of the artistic director A.V. Ostapyuk and a student of Gomel State University. Franziska Skaryna Kadyrova S. (Turkmenistan) to the dance accompaniment of students of the same university.

No one was left indifferent by the author's reading of the poem "Ode to the Soldier" by the student of BELGUT Morgunova D., in which she told in a poetic word about the hard and military path of the soldier to the Great Victory. It was the soldiers who gave the planet a Great and victorious May! And in continuation of this leitmotif, the dedication song "Cranes" performed by students of the Gomel Technical University named after P. O. Sukhoi Kurbandurdieva G. (Turkmenistan) and Tarelko D. (Republic of Belarus) She once again reminded the audience about the prematurely departed fathers and sons who fulfilled their duty to the Motherland and gave their lives for its happy future.

Участникам Фестиваля очень понравилось исполнение песни «Огонёк» студентками БелГУТа Лю Мэн, Ван Синь, Ли Сяньчжо, Лю Цзянсинь, Хэ Цзинсинь из КНР, которые душевно и проникновенно передали зрителям авторский замысел человеческих ценностей во все времена: верности, любви и долга.

This theme was continued in the song "House with windows to the garden", touching and with filial love, performed in Russian and Kazakh by cadets of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Gomel branch by A. Argynbaev and S. V. Zhukenov, accompanied by the musical director A.V. Ostapyuk. The lyrics of the song make us seriously think about how sometimes we don't have enough time to visit the places where we were born and visit our loved ones and relatives.

The military theme at the Festival was presented not only by the song and dance genre, but also by the poetic document of the crimes of the fascist invaders in World War II by the poem "Barbarism" by M. Jalil, performed by students of BELGUT Senko N., Pekun A., Likhovidova S., Kravets E.

The modern song theme was represented by the song "The Sun Circle, the sky around...", which was solemnly and very touchingly performed by the 1st year cadets of the military transport Faculty of BELGUT in Russian, English and German, known since the 60s of the twentieth century.

And also, the song "We will not say goodbye", which has already become famous today (from k / f Rzhev"), which was performed by a student of BelGUTa Minchenko E. with dance accompaniment by the folk dance ensemble "Polessky Dawns", who presented the audience with the dance composition "Our Cossacks are going to Berlin".

Modern songs about love, friendship and peace on the planet were performed by students from the Gomel Technical University named after P. O. Sukhoi Ukwuoma Precious Chindima (Sri Lanka), Vuette Flori from the Belarusian State University of Trade and Economics of Consumer Cooperation (Congo).

These songs were written in the post-war period and are the personification of the continuity of generations living under the motto "No one is forgotten, and nothing is forgotten ...".

During the Festival, participants and guests were shown videos with performances by students of the Belarusian State Medical University (the song "The Month of May", performed by Ivanova A., Republic of Kazakhstan), Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after. Ivan Shamyakin (song "At an Unnamed Height", performed by Yagmyrov N. and Nepesov A. Turkmenistan and Lashuk A., Republic of Belarus), Mogilev State University named after A. A. Kuleshova (song "Migratory Birds", performed by Yuldashev D., Uzbekistan, Li Yuizia, PRC, Nsangu Fokeu Ahmed Zaki and Bikele Musing Georges, Cameroon), Grodno State University named after Ya. The concert program was prepared by the Student Club named after the Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Stepanovich Koval under the leadership of the head of the club Ryabtsev B.V. and conducted by the leading students of the festival BELGUT Bystrenkova Tatiana (Republic of Belarus), Matkurbanov Timur (Turkmenistan) and Chapsky Sergei (Republic of Belarus), who acted as Vasily Terkin. A lot of creative work on the production of musical numbers and literary compositions was performed by senior teachers of the department "Slavic and Romano-Germanic languages" I. I. Volskaya, N. V. Kulazhenko, N. And Lyubochko, V. V., Makutonina E. Yu.

During the Festival, guests and participants were shown a presentation "By countries and continents", a virtual tour of BELGUT, as well as a photo exhibition "The Great Patriotic War in the fate of my country" and an exhibition of Uzbek ceramics in the style of hand-made, which were prepared by teachers of the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Foreign Studies I. I. Dyubanova, T. A. Tikhonova, senior teachers of the Department "Slavic and Romano-Germanic Languages" I. I. Volskaya, N. V. Kulazhenko, N. A. Lyubochko, V. V. Kurlovich, as well as the head of the Department of International connections Yu . A . Shebzukhov and an employee of this department Kosyakova K. K.

It should be noted the work of the interactive platform of the master class on calligraphy and lettering "The Beauty of writing", conducted by students of BELGUT Liu Meng, Wang Xin, Li Xianzho, Liu Jiangxin, He Jingxin from China.

During the holiday, all its participants could taste the traditional "Soldier's porridge", which is an integral attribute of army life, both in peacetime and wartime.

At the end of the Festival, the participants and guests were congratulated by the Deputy chairman of the NGO "Belaya Rus" A.V. Shatko, Vice-rector for Educational Work of BELGUT, Ph.D., Associate Professor G. M. Chayankova. They thanked the students and the organizers of the holiday, and noted that the songs of the war years, which have stood the test of time, are a kind of chronicle of the Great Patriotic War, they continue to support historical memory and do not let us forget about the great feat of our people.

Throughout the festival, it was gratifying to feel with what sincere patriotism and diligence all the participants performed their songs, and the grateful audience enthusiastically applauded each song, each dance number. The positive charge of the holiday, which reigned in the hall and kept in suspense throughout the concert, was full of the energy of patriotism, feelings of love for their Homeland and allowed people of different nationalities to speak from the stage in musical and poetic language about the most important thing for each of us: world peace.
