Practical activities of the RL
Diagnostics of reinforced concrete structures operated in atmospheric conditions, based on the proposed «method for assessing and predicting changes in the technical condition of reinforced concrete structures, taking into account carbonation processes in concrete and reinforcement», and the development of measures to improve the durability of structures.
- Testing of building materials and elements.
- Inspection of structures of buildings and structures, including investigation of the causes of their accidents, as well as resolution of legal disputes within the framework of technical operation of buildings and structures.
- Assessment and forecasting of the technical condition of structures of buildings and structures.
In its scientific and practical activities over the years of the laboratory's existence:
- physical and chemical analysis of concrete has been developed and implemented;
- developed and implemented a method for assessing and predicting the technical condition of reinforced concrete elements and structures, taking into account the carbonation of concrete based on the physico-chemical analysis of concrete;
- more than 10,000 samples of building materials have been tested;
- more than 5,000 objects of socio-cultural, agricultural, industrial and other purposes were examined.
The results of scientific and practical activities of the laboratory are used by design and construction organizations of Gomel and the Republic of Belarus in the repair, reconstruction and modernization of buildings and structures.
