At the Faculty for teaching foreign citizens, foreign citizens are accepted and trained in the chosen specialty of the university on the basis of full payment of the cost of training on the basis of contracts concluded with the university. Foreign citizens can get the following levels of education at the university:

• Higher education (including master's degree) in the specialties for which specialists are trained at the university;
• postgraduate education (postgraduate study, doctoral studies, scientific training, advanced training).

To obtain higher education, foreign citizens must have the necessary level of education corresponding to the general secondary or secondary specialized education in the Republic of Belarus, or the education necessary for studying at the magistracy.

Foreign students with higher education at the master's level are admitted to the postgraduate course of the University. Training in postgraduate studies is carried out either in full-time or in absentia.

For internships, as well as for advanced training, foreign citizens with relevant education can be accepted.

At the correspondence faculty, training is conducted on curricula that provide for a shortened period of study (if there is an appropriate secondary specialized education).

Characteristic features of the correspondence form of training are:

• A relatively small budget for the duration of classroom activities;
• The main type of classes is the independent work of students.

Training in correspondence mode is carried out with the call of students during the academic year at a session during which students are engaged in classroom activities, they defend prepared course projects (works), perform control and laboratory work, pass exams and tests they are given new tasks, a methodology for their implementation is outlined. During the intersessional period, students carry out course projects (work), independently develop courses.

At the correspondence faculty students pass through the educational, industrial and pre-diploma practices as well as students of the full-time form of education.

The faculty has at its disposal a training portal, which contains all the necessary information for part-time students.

The Military Transport Faculty was founded in 2003, it is a structural sub-division of the university and carries out the training of officers for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the specialty "Management of units of troops transportation " by directions (Qualification - management specialist. Civil Engineer-builder).

For the period of training, cadets are provided with all kinds of allowances, they are covered by all the benefits provided for military personnel, and monetary allowances are paid.

Students live in the hostel of the university.To study at the military transport faculty, under the programs of training junior commanders and reserve officers, students and students of institutions of higher and secondary special education who are enrolled in full-time education are admitted.

Military training of students in military registration specialties is conducted on two levels of training:

• The first one - under the programs of training of junior commanders;
• the second - under the training programs for reserve officers.

Training of students at the second level of military training is carried out only after they have completed the training at the first level.

Since 1970 the Electro-technical faculty has been training highly qualified electrical engineers in the specialty "Automation, telemechanics and communications in railway transport" (qualification - electrical engineer).

Specialists - graduates of the faculty - work fruitfully in various branches of the national economy, not only of the Republic of Belarus, but also abroad.

With the introduction of computer-based control technologies on the railways to signal service and communication specialists, the responsibility lies for the trouble-free functioning of software and hardware complexes and automated workstations on the basis of personal computers working both autonomously and in local information and corporate glogs -ball networks. Therefore, when preparing students, a lot of attention is paid to studying the basics of information and microprocessor technology, software and software, and obtaining skills in working with modern programming tools.

The faculty has a modern material and technical base, including specialized laboratories equipped with test benches and equipment.

The main directions of scientific research of the faculty are:

• development of computer and microprocessor systems of railway automatics, telemechanics and communications;
• telecommunication systems and technologies;
• development of computer information networks and microprocessor devices in process control systems;
• formations of finite groups and related algebraic systems.

The Faculty “Industrial and civil engineering and construction" provides training of highly qualified engineers to carry out practical tasks for the construction and maintenance of industrial and civil structures that ensure the harmonious development of cities, as well as various modes of transport.

Students of this Faculty take an active part in the organization of thematic exhibitions of city, regional and republican scale. In addition, future architects and engineers acquire practical skills, carrying out projects for the improvement of cities, towns and architectural monuments of the Republic of Belarus.

The faculty carries out the training of highly qualified personnel in the following specialties:

1. “Industrial and civil engineering and construction” (Qualification - civil engineer).
2. “Building products”  (Qualification - engineer-constructor-technologist).
3. "Residential and public buildings architecture" (Qualification-architect).

The faculty has scientific schools: "Architecture of cities and rural settlements of Belarus", "Mechanics of layered structural elements", "Estimation and prediction of the durability of reinforced concrete elements and structures taking into account the carbonization of concrete".

Mechanical faculty is one of the oldest in BelSUT. Since 1953, the graduating departments of the faculty have trained more than 8,000 young specialists, who later became famous scientists, major managers of enterprises and organizations, management bodies of various rank, not only in the Republic of Belarus, but also abroad.

Specialties of the Faculty of Mechanics:

1. Traction structure of the railway transport by directions (qualification - engineer-electrician).
2. Rolling stock of the railway transport (qualification - engineer-mechanic).
3. Equipment and technologies of highly effective processes of material processing (qualification - engineer).
4. Technical operation of loading-unloading, track, road-building machines and equipment (qualification - engineer-mechanic).
5. Power supply (by industry) (qualification - engineer-energetic).

The Economics and Business Technologies Faculty provides training for specialists who have the skills to organize accounting, analysis, taxation and audit at enterprises of all forms of property using modern computer technology and international standards. They possess knowledge of the legal foundations of entrepreneurship and commercial activity, the theory of monetary and financial relations, management and modern computer technologies, are capable of adapting to production as quickly as possible. Training of specialists at the faculty is carried out with the use of world experience in managing economic processes, active application of progressive methods and forecasting models.

The faculty teaches specialties:

1. Accounting and audit (qualification – economist);
2. Borders and customs (qualification - customs specialist).

The acquired theoretical knowledge, skills and abilities allow the graduates of the faculty to work in positions:

• Chief accountants, their deputies;
• auditors and auditors;
• specialists of state control, financial and tax authorities;
• accounting and finance managers;

The “Transportation Engineering and Construction” faculty provides training for specialists with advanced knowledge in the design and construction of railways, highways and transport infrastructure.

Specialties of the Faculty of Construction:

1. "Construction of railways, track and track facilities" (qualification - engineer of communications - builder).
2. "Highways" (qualification - civil engineer).
3. "Water supply, water disposal and protection of water resources" (qualification - civil engineer).
4. "Energy-efficient technologies and energy management". The catalogue of disciplines of the curriculum

The visiting card of the faculty is the project "Educating the leadership and professional qualities of students through participation in the work of student construction teams." Within the framework of this project, all future members of the construction teams undergo a thorough selection, which also includes the passing of exams for the knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations with an assessment of at least 7 points (on a 10-point scale). Construction teams for the students of the faculty are an integral part of the educational process, a full-fledged production practice.
