From October 13 to October 15, 2019, as part of the German Week 2019 organized by the German Embassy in Minsk, the regional study seminar of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) “Deutschland entdecken” (“Discover Germany”) was held in 12th time and it brought together 70 students who study German from whole Belarus.

BSUT students have been participating in this event for the third year in a row.

The selection of participants is carried out on a competitive basis, according to the results of which this year the opportunity to take part in a seminar from our university was provided to a third-year student of the specialty "Customs" Zakhozhaya Anastasia.

For three days, the participants of the event plunged into the atmosphere of German culture, where they became more familiar with the education system in German-speaking countries, and also learned about the features of participating in DAAD scholarship programs for students and graduates of Belarusian universities. Seminar participants were also given the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops, listen to thematic reports on current trends in social, cultural and economic life of Germany, prepared by DAAD lecturers, and ask questions of interest.

Traditionally, the special guest of the event was the German rock band “Solche” from Chemnitz, whose soloists actively interacted with the guys throughout the program and gave a good mood not only with their musical performances, but also with master classes in writing lyrics and their joint performance.

At the end of the seminar, participants who actively participated in all points of the program were awarded certificates.
