The best engineers at the prestigious CASE-IN Championship

On September 10-11, 2020, the final of the VIII International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN", which had the theme "Technological modernization", took place in the format of a teleconference. "CASE-IN" is an international competition system for solving engineering cases for pupils, students and young professionals. The main goal of the Championship is to identify and support talented and promising students of specialized universities, as well as to assist them in obtaining practical and professional knowledge.
The final competition was attended by over 500 winners of the qualifying stages from 60 regions of Russia and the CIS countries.
The right to represent the Belarusian State University of Transport in the area "Power Engineering" was deserved by the team "FAZA-N", which included students of the mechanical faculty A. Zhivodrova, I. Ivanchikov, V. Shapovalov, as well as a student of the Faculty of Economics and Business Technology A. Moroz.
As part of the final case, the participants, as future employees of the electric power industry, had to offer their own solution to improve the energy complex in order to introduce measures for technological modernization, development and increase the efficiency of technological functioning of the UES of Russia for the period up to 2030 into the Code.
The FAZA-N team led by senior lecturers Valeria Nikolaevna Podolskaya (Locomotives Department) and Ekaterina Olegovna Frolenkova (Transport Economics Department) adequately represented our university in the final of the VIII International Engineering Championship CASE-IN.
