Exam
Inspection of building structures is carried out in the following cases:
- when determining the suitability of a building for further operation;
- during certification;
- when determining its physical wear and tear;
- when solving issues related to disposal (demolition or dismantling of buildings, reuse of building structures);
- in the design of redevelopment, repair and reconstruction, modernization and restoration of buildings;
- when resuming construction work on mothballed construction sites;
- when loads and impacts change;
- when making changes to the operating conditions.

Construction control and engineering
Construction control and engineering includes:
- Expert consulting and engineering services to design and construction organizations at the stages of development of project documentation, technological maps, methods for the introduction of new materials, structures and mechanisms, engineering preparation of construction sites, conducting construction and installation, commissioning and maintenance work.
- Development of special technical conditions for design, construction and operation, verification of completeness and compliance with the established deadlines for the contractor to perform input control and the reliability of documenting its results.
Author's supervision
Author's supervision of construction is carried out by the developer of an architectural or construction project in order to ensure compliance of architectural, construction, technological and other technical solutions, technical and economic indicators of commissioned construction projects with design solutions and indicators.
Carrying out author's supervision in construction involves a number of checks that are aimed at tracking the following points:
- Achievement of project indicators.
- Compliance with technology.
- Use of the specified materials and equipment.
- Quality of delivery.
In the process of author's supervision in construction, local tasks can also be performed, which are reflected in the terms of reference and project documentation.

BIM (Building Information Modeling or Building Information Model) — building information modeling or building information model.
Building information modeling is an approach to the construction, equipping, maintenance and repair of a building (to the management of the life cycle of the object), which involves the collection and complex processing in the design process of all architectural, technological, economic and other information about the building with all its relationships and dependencies, when the building and everything that has the relation to it is considered as a single object.
A three-dimensional model of a building or other construction object associated with an information database in which additional attributes can be assigned to each element of the model. The peculiarity of this approach is that the construction object is actually designed as a whole. And changing any one of its parameters entails automatically changing the rest of the parameters and objects associated with it, up to drawings, visualizations, specifications and a calendar schedule.
