Due to the pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19, the electronic library systems of the world have opened access to their catalogues.
At the faculty of foreign students, at the Slavic and Romano-Germanic languages department much attention is paid to training BSUT’s students in foreign languages (English, German, French), taking into account the specifics of the future profession, as well as the development of international cooperation.
On February 20, 2020, a meeting of students and curators was held at the faculty of foreign students with the participation of Litvinova I.A., the head of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Gomel regional executive committee, and L.V. Kozich, the head physician of the branch No. 12 of the Gomel Central City Polyclinic, on the prevention of offenses among foreign citizens, the prevention of antisocial behaviour, the prohibition of the use of alcoholic beverages, narcotic drugs. Also, requirements of the legislation in the sphere of the legal status of foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus were taken into account the timeliness of a medical examination, payment for training and residence in a hostel, and the prevention of corruption.
A meeting with Kendal Karstens, a recent university graduate from High Point University, North Carolina, USA, currently living and working in Baranovichi, as a Fullbright English Teaching Assistant at Baranovichi State University, Belarus, was held on 28 January in Gomel Universal Regional library department of literature in foreign languages.
On February 7, 2020, Belarusian State University of Transport was honoured to host a delegation consisting of Political Advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus Daniyar Abidov and Assistant Ambassador for Economic Affairs Kabul Alimov.
